Episode 4: Trial and error with a ceramics artist
Share
In this episode, We are delighted to chat with a ceramics artist, Sue Ure.
Sue established Sue Ure Maison, and she makes delicate and versatile home accessories for contemporary interiors.
Sue first learned her trade in London in the 1970s, where she was born and raised. In the 1990s, Sue moved to the sunnier South-Western France and this significantly impacted her appreciation of colour. From first using brown and darker colours of more natural materials, Sue has now crafted multiple vivid and colourful collections of ceramics like her colour pop collection.
More recently in September, Sue debuted a new tableware collection for a major trade fair, Top Drawer. They are inspired by mid-century design and the vibrant colours of the 1960s.
Let’s see where Sue’s inspirations come from and her journey from ideas to craft!
