Episode 9: Pioneers of English grown tea

Kathryn Harper, the co-founder of Dartmoor Estate Tea is sharing how they grow tea leaves in a 14-acre tea garden. As a pioneer of English grown tea , Kathryn shared the difficulties about lack of UV daylight hours for her tea plantations and how she overcame this.

This November, as the owners of Dartmoor Estate Tea, Kathryn and Jo had been awarded as a winner of the Highly Commended Award at The Leafies International Tea Awards, launched by the UK tea academy and partnership with Fortnum & Mason. Their genuine passion of growing tea by hand and sharing tea knowledge through tea making workshops to their visitors made them the well deserved winner of the prize.
